Mary Meeker, former securities analyst for Wall Street and partner at the capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers has released her annual Internet Trends Report and she has some good news. This year we are sharing more data than ever before, specifically our media and location data. Over 500 million pictures are shared daily over Facebook and Snapchat and they keep growing. This trend, according to Meeker, is been led by the mobile world. Mobile devices make up 15% of all internet traffic, there has never been a better time to be a mobile app developer. Mobile internet traffic has finally surpassed computer traffic in both China and South Korea. Not to mention Facebook’s first quarter of 2013 saw revenue of $1.46 billion, which relied heavily on the 751 million users that accessed the site monthly through mobile phones and tablets.
